Poetry – It Keeps Happening

When does the amount of poems one writes become a problem?
Well, here is another set of them collected from my Blue Sky account.

Let’s go back and swim.
We can do most anything.
The guests are gone now,
and the place belongs to us.
Darling, we can be happy.

(Woke up singing this somehow, dreamt of a magical summer night, when feelings are high).

He took a dive, far,
while they were all just watching.
You had to appear aloof.
Snuck a look, whether he lived.

The hearth is missing.
That warm center of my life.
The accepting light.
What I could have been, with you.
What the core was before loss.

The branches are marked,
like little constellations.

For my best friend. 💙

Decomposing plants,
rain clouds heavy overhead.
Stench of wet around.
Autumn landscape hanging on
to memories of summer.

To sort all my thoughts,
I feel like I need a rake.
My brain feels scattered,
it’s a cold, dark place windswept.
The core is safety, hidden.
